Cinematique Instruments dug up these little red organ. It is a Magnus Organ built from the Magnus Harmonica Corporation. This company built and sold the most popular Chord Organ in the 1970s. These little organs use an electric fan to blow air across reeds, like a giant harmonica with keys. They are called 'chord organs' because they have chord buttons to be played with the left hand, similar to how a piano player plays with their left hand. Cinematique Instruments Magnus Harmonica Organ is unfortunately out of tune. But they did our best and it was certainly worth it. There's real character to that sound! Cinematique Instruments recorded every second note as well as some major and minor chords – all with just one velocity layer. We also recorded a separate release sound and the sound of the power switch. The mapping is as shown below. There is a script to control the amount of reverb and to switch between the slow and fast mode of the rotary speaker.
