What’s the bottom line?

If you like to tweak, but still keep things simple…please check this out.
Having 6 layers of sounds to mix and match is just plain fun, especially when they make it so simple to create new “scenes”.
The interface of course makes you wish you could load up your own samples, but I feel the raw materials they give us to work with are great.

I give this library 4 out of 5 subs, it’s really a great little exploration and sound design tool that’s fun to use and quick to get really usable results from

I suggest you download the free version and give it a try…or better yet just go grab one of the Gecko instruments and have fun. The price is right and the sound is professional.

SPL EQ Rangers review Wusik Magazine 12/2008

EQ Rangers Vol 1 represents a new standard in quality and usability for EQ plug-in's. An ingenious idea in hardware brought to the software realm. The “bells and whistles” of some other EQ plug-in's are not missed in EQ Ranger, as they aren't needed to enhance the quality of these EQ plug-in's.  These EQ's simply have no need for bells and whistles to compensate for a lack of actual sonic power like others may need. For those needing quick and easy EQ's designed for specific tasks, and needing outstanding sound quality to match as well, these are a "must have." The usability and versatility will probably cause people to clean out a lot of the junk EQ's clogging up their effects folders. One of the best things about this set of EQ's is in the product's name...Vol. 1, in which case it follows there will be more. So SPL, bring on Vol. 2!!! Keep watching for the next issue. Some cool articles on using EQ Rangers Vol 1 will be well worth reading...and expect some unique uses for these outside of their specified “range” - Trusty (Wusik Magazine)

SPL DrumXchanger review Audio Media 05/2010:

"I found the SPL DrumXchanger had all the right controls, in a very good looking layout, without getting complicated.I think this is key to a solution like this. There is a lot of processing behind the scenes that works well and sounds great without getting in the way. Even though this plug-in does cause significant track latency, it is amazing how much it can do in real time. As long as your delay compensation is up to speed, it will improve your drum sound much more easily and quickly than you might first imagine.
