This is what the Gecko´s GUI looks like. Excepting their colour and some details every Gecko comes with the same functionality:

(A) SOUND MATRIX
The Sound Matrix is the core of each GECKO:

You´ve got six bars, each of them correspond to one of the six „Sound-Slots“. By clicking and moving the mouse into the sound matrix field you can adjust the volume of each of sound slot separately.
(B) PANORAMA SECTION
These are 6 self-explanatory panorama slider to control the left-right balance of each sound slot.
(C) SCENE MENU
In this menu you can choose certain scenes giving you prominent and significant sound combination of each instrument. You are free to
play around with this suggestions. Just click to select. There are 2 special scenes:
RESET ALL SOUNDS - In the second from top line of the scene menu you can select "Reset All Sounds". If you load this preset all (!) parameters of your GECKO instrument will be reset. Do this whenever you like to start a new sound.
(D) RANDOMIZE FUNCTION
This is an absolute unique feature. By clicking this preset all parameters including the sounds from the sound menu will be set at random!! You can imagine how fantastic the result will be!
(E) LOAD AND SAVE
You can select "Load" or "Save" to write or reload your current status of Gecko to your hard disk.
(F) TUNING KNOB
With the help of this knob you can detune the sound of sound slot 1 from –12 to 12 semitones.
(G) SOUND MENU
This is the sound menu. You´ve got six menus – for each of the six sound slots. The 3 upper menus correspond with slot1,3 and 5, the lower menus to 2,4 and 6.

By clicking into the menu, it will expand and you can choose one of the sounds by clicking it. The sound will be loaded immediately. To delete a sound from the sound slot (deactivate the sound slot) , just click into the menu and choose "No Instrument ".
(H) SOLO SWITCHES
By pressing one of these switches you can hear the corresponding Sound Slot alone (solo). This helps you to change the sounds more precise.
(I) EDIT SECTION
In this section you´ve got five knobs to control the volume envelope, filter and reverb.
These knob control the volume envelope of the instrument sound. The left knob (Attack) controls the initial time it takes to reach the maximum level after the key has been triggered. The right knob (Release) controls the initial time it takes to fall to zero after the key has been released.
These knob control the filter frequency of a lowpass filter (left knob) and a high pass filter (right knob) from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
The „REVERB“ knob controls the amount of reverb.
(J) TIMBRE SWITCHES
These switches provide powerful tools to quickly change the timbre of the instrument sound.
LOUDNESS - this adds a more HiFi-alike feel to the sound.PRESENCE - this is an individual EQ set suitable for each instrument category - either a cut or bandpass.
AMPED - this simulates a speaker sound.
TAB CC MONITOR

Use the CC Monitor tab of your Gecko to make the midi controller control the volume of the separate sound slots.
Just move your midi controller to see which number it has been assigned to – the number will be displayed in the controller monitor field. Please enter the number into the corresponding „Slot xx CC:“-field. This will allow you to control the volume of the sound slots by means of the midi-controllers and you can easily record and automate the volume movements in your sequencer along with your music!
